I love this simple white button down item from Bodkin. The right amount of bare shoulder can be so sexy. I’m obsessed with belting loose fitted dresses so I would probably grab my favorite brown Family Thrift belt or my gold Salvation Army belt and show off the waistline with it. It would be amazing if this look came in coral, muted green, and a soft yellow.
Read this really interesting post from Ready Made today about dry cleaning and how painfully expensive and bad for the environment. In the post Megan describes sneaking around the dry cleaner’s back and finding a DIY alternative method using a bathroom sink and a little baby shampoo. Her post really hit home because a few weeks ago I had to pick up a dry cleaning order and it was over $30! All of the items I brought in were thrift store treasures and had the smell of other people and places. Hitting the jack-pot and finding great sweaters for $1, $2, $3 doesn’t feel like a win if you need to invest another $7 to clean the damn thing. I’m always nervous I’ll ruin the clothes if I try my own cleaning methods and the sad washer in my buildings basement isn’t trustworthy and I don’t think it even has a gentle wash option.
Trying Megan’s method is now on my to-do list next time I encounter a DRY CLEAN ONLY tag. Finicky washed items are such a drab. I’ve also heard of using caster oil, I’m not too familiar with it but after a couple trial and errors perhaps I’ll be able to say goodbye to Smart Cleaners forever : )

My bestie Bette Blurr is currently teaching in Seoul. This image is from Street Peeper and apparently this look is happening right now! I can picture her teaching kindergartners in this look.
