Back in the office, sewing with a cast, tag tests, and AnnT: a work in progress

Creative Coffee

Since I only have one good legs and both arms and hands are occupied with crutches these days I have to get creative when it comes to getting a cup of much needed coffee when no one is home. I push my little step ladder  to the center of the kitchen and place my creamed coffee on it. I put all my weight on the ladder and slowly slide it across the floor… it takes a lot of patience.

Sewing Cast

Luckily I can sew with my right foot, but I have to keep the left foot elevated while I work. I get a little tangled around.

Tag Tests

Figuring out some new tag looks, each one much be tested with soapy water.

Tag It

It was a fun day in the office playing around with acrylic paints, markers, and felt.

AnnT Sneek Peak - Work In Progress

AnnT is still a work in progress, there have been revisions since this photo, and tonight comes the hand sewn details.

The full process sequence

Before & Phase One (After)

Floral Tori is a “still in progress” piece. So far I’ve cut the ruffles off and evened out the first hem line, re-attached the ruffles after I cut and ironed them out, fixed some holes in the side seams and waistband, and hand sewed gold sequins on the top bodice from and back -  there is a good chance just a few more sequins will find their way to the skirt.

Befores

I’m adding a new element to the blog – before and after

I can’t attack all the before pieces at once so check back often to see where things end up

There are all the before items…
